GARY RHODES
Jacks Creek, TN: Gary Rhodes, age 75 passed away June 2, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He was born August 29, 1937 the son of the late Frederick and Robbie Anderson Rhodes. He attended school in Chester County and Memphis State University. He married Barbara Scott in 1967.
He worked for the U. S. Postal Service as Postmaster at Jacks Creek for more than thirty years.
Mr. Rhodes was a member of the Enville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed reading, computer, talking to people and loved his family, friends and his community. He faced every day with a smile and very positive attitude.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Scott Rhodes of Jacks Creek, a son, Jason Alan Rhodes and wife Mandy; a grandson, Ethan Alan Rhodes, a sister, Gwendolyn Raphael, a niece, Leslie Garcia and several cousins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Bro. Bill Evans officiating and burial will follow in Unity Cemetery at Jacks Creek, TN.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday.
