Gary Dillon Haynes
was born in Savannah, Tennessee on March 26, 1953 the son of Wilma Barrier White and the late Deward Clyde Haynes.
On December 18, 1976 he was united in marriage to Temple Ann Blythe, who survives.
Gary served his country proudly in the United States Army serving from 1972 until he retired in 1992 as Sergeant First Class. He was a member of Crosswinds Church of Christ in Three Way, Tennessee. In his spare time, he loved hunting and fishing and was very passionate about horses. Gary absolutely adored his grandchildren and spending time with them.
He departed this life on Sunday, May 30, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 68 years, 2 months and 4 days.
In addition to his wife of 44 years, Temple Ann of Savannah, Tennessee, Gary is survived by his children, Marlana Haynes Copeland of Savannah, Tennessee and Jason Paul Haynes of Medina, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jordan Schwartz of Florence, Alabama, Felicia Atkinson of Medina, Tennessee, Lindsey Copeland of Savannah, Tennessee, Dillon Copeland of Savannah, Tennessee, Chance Copeland of Savannah, Tennessee, and Jayce Haynes of Medina, Tennessee; one great grandchild; mother, Wilma White of Savannah, Tennessee; and sister, Laura Spradlin of Savannah, Tennessee.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Deward Haynes; step father, Noel White; sisters, Claudia Haynes and Frankie Brown; and brother, Paul Haynes.
