Garrett Scott

Garrett Scottwas born in McNairy County, Tennesse on June 4, 1929 the son of the late J. Garrett and Allie Mae Blackwood Scott.On May 14, 1974 he was united in marriage to Deleata Faye Powers, who survives.During his life he had worked construction and worked in maintenance for TVA before retiring. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mr. Scott departed this life on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the age of 78 years, 6 months, 11 days.In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters: Tonya Hart of Lexington, Tennessee, Felicia Carter of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 sons: James David Scott of Mississippi, Randy Scott of Greenbriar, Tennessee; 2 sisters: Nelda Guary of Peoria, Illinois, Oma Jewell Scott of Nashville, Tennesssee; 10 grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son: James Ray Scott; 4 brothers: Ephraim Scott, Paul Ray Scott, Kyrus Lee Scott, Aaron Scott; 1 sister: Mary Ruth Estes.
