Gail Adkisson Selby departed this life on Monday, November 2, 2015, at the age of 82 years, 8 months, 12 days. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 21, 1933, the daughter of the late Robert and Aleen Hinton Adkisson. On September 3, 1955, she was united in marriage to Jeff Selby, who preceded her in death on June 23, 2012.
Gail retired from Southwest as an Intake Coordinator. She had previously worked for General Electric in Memphis, Tennessee, Tennessee Pulp and Paper Mill in Counce, Tennessee, and Selby Refrigeration in Savannah, Tennessee. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, where she began a library ministry and was a Sunday School Teacher, and the Gideon Auxiliary.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She would send words of encouragement through cards. A faithful servant of the Lord and the best friend anyone could have.
Gail is survived by her daughters, Kathy Selby of Millington, Tennessee and Sheri Rinks and her husband, Randy of Pickwick Dam, Tennessee; grandchildren, Heather James and her husband, Peter of Tuscumbia, Alabama and Holly McDaniel of Brentwood, Tennessee and her late husband, Mike Faulk; great-grandchildren, Jackson McDaniel, Selby Ann McDaniel, and Barrett James; brothers, Bob Adkisson and Rex Adkisson both of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, June Vinson of Adamsville, Tennessee and Janice Claiborne of Hermitage, Tennessee.
