Gail Grissom Ross

GAIL ROSS
Reagan, TN: Gail Ross age 81, passed away July 18, 2016 at her home.
She was born September 15, 1934 in Henderson County, the daughter of the late Ambrose and Jessie Bailey Grissom. She attended schools at Sardis, TN. She was married to James Thomas Ross in 1954 and they made their home in the Roby community. She worked as a seamstress for Garan Manufacturing in Adamsville, TN for several years. She worked as custodian at Jacks Creek Elementary school for twenty-two years retiring in 1998. She enjoyed spoiling grandbabies and attending baseball, basketball and softball games when they played. Mr. Ross preceded her in death in August 2000.
Mrs. Ross is survived by two daughters, Darlene Wallace and husband Ronald of Huron and Jennifer McAdams and husband Patrick of Huron and a son, Ward Grissom of Lexington; grandchildren, Brandon Wallace (Melissa), Aaron Grissom (Hillary), Nick Grissom (Misty), Samantha Tucker (Chris Young), Jessica Bauer (Cody), and Brooke McAdams (Andrew Lindsey); great grandchildren, Sebastian Wallace, Hayden Tucker, MacKenzie Wallace, Gabe Grissom, Carley Young, Samantha Grissom, Lee Grissom, Jesse Grissom, Abigail Bauer; two sisters, Heber Faye Wesley of Kentucky and Onell Hayes of Sardis, TN and a brother, Carmon Grissom of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and sisters, Ruth Maness, Dolly Benson, Vera Beecham and Eunice Brantley and brothers, Jack Grissom, Floyd Grissom, Lois Grissom and Reford Grissom.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, July 22, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Dwight Jones and Mark Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Bailey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday.
