G. C. McClain

G. C. McClain was born August 20, 1923 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late G. C. and Minnie Willis McClain.On November 23, 1967, he was united in marriage to Doris Norman.Mr. McClain was a Farmer and a lifetime member of the VFW in Boynton Beach, Florida. He proudly served his country during WWII. He was a Tech 5 in the United States Army and received the Purple Heart.Mr. McClain departed this life on May 26, 2008 in Tupelo, Mississippi at the age of 84 Years, 9 Months, 6 Days. He is survived by his wife Doris McClain of Selmer, TN; five daughters, JoAnne Russom of Selmer, TN, Genny Borden of Selmer, TN, Joelle Goan of Collierville, TN, Jackie McClain of Selmer, TN, Jamie Harben of Guys, TN; two sons, Don McClain of Adamsville, TN, Greg McClain of Selmer, TN; a sister, Betty Horton of Selmer, TN; 8 Grandchildren, and 8 Great Grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Mr. McClain was preceded in death by a son, Rick McClain; 11 brothers and sisters and a granddaughter, Lorie Russom Fowler.
