G. L. Blevins, Jr., 79, of Bolivar, died Sunday evening, December 17, 2006 at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.
Son of the late Eugene and Virgie Blevins, he was a truck driver and stock car driver. He was born April 22, 1927 in Littlefield, Texas and made his home here in 2000. Mr. Blevins served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. He loved to fish and watch wrestling, was a NASCAR fan and his family said that he was a “loving fatherâ€.
He is survived by three daughters, Jana Lynn McFadden of Dallas, Tex., Carolyn Ann Courtney of Paris, Tex. and Paula Jean Cutler of Galveston, Tex. and two sons, Mickey Wayne Blevins of Toone and Steve Blevins of Dallas, Tex. He was preceded in death by one son, Robbie Neil Blevins.
