Freeman Wilkins

FREEMAN WILKINS



was born in Forth Worth, Texas on October 20, 1914 the son of the late William Robert and Roma Elizabeth Hughes Wilkins.



On December 28, 1939 he was united in marriage to Emily Kenneth Bowling, who preceded her husband in death on September 22, 1993.



Mr. Wilkins worked for 40 years for TVA in Security. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Savannah. Mr. Wilkins was a United States Marines Veteran and he was awarded a Purple Heart.



He departed this life on May 3, 2010 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 95 years, 6 months and 13 days.



Mr. Wilkins is survived by one brother, Walter Lee Wilkins of Crump, Tennessee



a special friend, Ann Bonar of Savannah, Tennessee



In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Wilkins was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Otis, William Taylor, Russell Andrew and Robert Lillian Wilkins.
