Freddie Louise Pierce

Mrs. Pierce passed away Thursday evening at Maplewood Healthcare in Jackson.



The widow of Ralph Pierce, who died in 1986, she was a homemaker. A native of Hardeman County, she was born September 1, 1919 to the late Frank Young and Mattie Roberts Young and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bolivar. Mrs. Pierce enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and gardening.



Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Pierce of Jackson; her son, James H. Pierce of Medon; two sisters, Tinnie Oneal of Dardanelle, AR and Minnie Arnold of Demopolis, AL; two brothers, Pete Young of Troy and Billy Joe Young of Dardanelle, AR; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Donald Pierce, who died in 1980; five sisters, Lucille Young, Frankie Sue Stewart, Joyce Stack, Addie "Muh" Baker, and Estelle Avent; and two brothers, Monroe and T.J. Young.
