Freddie Craig Kelley was born to Brown and Charlotte Craig Kelley on October 24, 1953 in Columbia, TN and departed this life on December 28, 2007 at Metro General Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Services will be Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, TN with Casey Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Craig Cemetery in Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Saturday, January 5, 2008 from 11 am until 1 pm at the funeral home.
Freddie was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Andrea Kelley, his father and mother, and his brother, Timothy Kelley.
He was raised in the Methodist Church and attended Wayne County High School where he participated in various sports and graduated in 1971. Freddie was employed as a general laborer prior to the loss of a limb in 1994.
Freddie was an avid Jimmi Hendrix fan and also enjoyed music in general, watching football, reading and writing poetry, and he loved to draw.
He leaves to mourn two children, Virginia Shavonne Kelley Lymon of Lawrenceubrg, TN and Curtis Craig Kelley of Waynesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Anna Melissa Kelley, Tamia Nicole Kelley, Carolyn Faye Lymon, Andrew Craig Lymon, and Timothy Wayne Lymon; one aunt, Laura Mae Craig of Waynesboro, TN; two sisters, Neva Kelley Sevier of Nashville, TN and Patricia Kelley Wilson of Clarksville, TN; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
He will be truly missed by all.
