FRED HITE
Henderson: Freddie Charles ‘Fred’ Hite, age 69, died Sunday morning, October 18, 2009, at Jackson General Hospital.
Mr. Hite was born and reared in Cullman, AL, the son of the late Roman Charles and Avis Mae Pope Hite. He graduated from St. Bernard College, then entered the U. S. Army, where he attained the rank of Captain and served as an Army aviator during the Vietnam War. He received his MBA from Auburn University. He married Sue Pearce in 1965. He had a career in manufacturing in Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Alabama. Most recently he was employed by Neighborhood Network in Henderson. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Henderson.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Pearce Hite of Henderson; two sons, Tom Hite and wife Debbie of Edmond, OK, and Joe Hite and wife Lisa of Moore, OK. He also has five grandchildren, Sarah, Aislynn, Alex, Sullivan, and Tanner Hite; and two sisters, Marie Hart and husband Lee of Cullman, AL and Helen Marsh and husband Dick of Huntsville, AL.
He also is survived by special loved ones Jim and Julie Vest, and their children Aubrey and Austin Vest; and also Deirdre Hite and Debbie Hite.
He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Hite and a sister Louise Reasonover.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Shackelford – Casey Chapel with Rev. Randy Cooper and Rev. Benny Hopper officiating.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 5:00 Pm until 8:00 PM Tuesday.
