Freda Sanders Todd, 83, of Bolivar, died Tuesday morning, February 21, 2006 at Dogwood Plantation in New Albany, Miss.
The widow of Malcolm Todd, who died in 1980, she was a retail sales clerk with Goldsmith’s for 28 years. Mrs. Todd was born October 7, 1922 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late James W. Sanders and Freddie Tiekle Sanders and lived in Memphis for 40 years before returning to make her home in Bolivar in 1988. She was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class of Bolivar First Baptist Church.
Services were 3:00 PM Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Dr. Ernest E. James officiating. Burial was in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Hamblin of Blue Springs, Miss; four sisters, Sue Davis of Hendersonville, Jimmie Keller of Whiteville, Ruth Wheeler of Keller, Texas and Sarah James of Easton, MD; three grandchildren, Cande Hamblin Briggs of Blue Springs, Miss., Toby Hamblin of Prairieville, LA and Joshua Hamblin of Baldwyn, Miss. and three great grandchildren, John Briggs and Todd and Malcolm Hamblin. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Robert Sanders and Ivo Sanders and one sister, Mary Breeden.
