Fred Terry Frye, age 81, died Sunday morning December 28, 2008 at the home of his daughter Phyllis, in Henderson.
Mr. Frye was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Robert Anderson and Doris Ann Mays Frye. He attended school at Cross Roads and farmed as a young man. He had worked at the Bemis Cotton Mill, Milan Arsenal, and at Grinnell from where he retired in 1989. He had made his home in Chester County and Henderson County. He was married to Ada Izetta Powers Frye in 1984. They had lived at Heritage Towers in Henderson since 2005. Mrs. Frye died in February 2007.
He is survived by three daughters: Judy Taylor and husband Anthony, Phyllis Fortune and husband Johnny and Denise Kinchen and husband Scotty all of Henderson and two sons: Terry Frye and wife Shirley of Jacks Creek and Troy Frye and wife Amy of Henderson. He also has a step son Bro. Bobby Keen of Lexington and a step daughter Patricia Ann Spain of Beacon. He has 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandchild and a step grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday at Judson Baptist Church in Henderson County with Bro. Donald Bain officiating and burial will follow in the Judson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 5 PM to 9 PM Monday, and Tuesday morning from 8AM until 12 noon at the funeral home, and then from 1 PM until 2 PM at the Judson Baptist Church.
