Frankie Alberta Skelton

On June 16, 2024, the world lost a remarkable soul with the passing of Frankie Alberta Long Skelton. Born on March 13, 1927, in Wayne County Tennessee, she was a beloved daughter of the late Amos and Lula Long.

Frankie's life was one of dedication love. She spent her years working at Mallory Capacitor, all while remaining a steadfast resident of Wayne County. Her faith was unwavering as a devoted member of Waynesboro Pentecostal Church. In her moments of leisure, Frankie found joy in the simple pleasures of cooking and singing gospel music.

She now reunites in eternity with her Husband, Howard T. Skelton; Son, Steve Skelton; Daughter, Nancy Pipes; Brothers, Amos Long Jr., Jess Willard Long, William Thomas Long; Sisters, Blanche Coeuille, Peggy Stone, Shirely Folks, Aileen Pulley, and Willadean Matney; Granddaughter, Nancy Skelton; Son-in-Law, Roy Neal Staggs.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her surviving loved ones. Son, Howard Thomas Skelton Jr., Daughters: Julia Ann Jones (Herb), Vicki Skelton, Jeanie Anderson, Janie Skelton and John Christian; Brother, Franklin D. Long and Louis; Grandchildren: Mary Ann Hill, Kimberly Renee, Johnny Suratt, Merle Suratt, Jason Staggs, Jeremy Staggs, Gary Skelton, Howard Lionel Skelton, Jamie Lowery, Stephen Hansen, Special Caregivers: Patricia Freemon and Ashley Musselwhite; And a host of Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews

The visitation to honor Frankie's life will take place at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Waynesboro on Wednesday, June 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Funeral Service will follow on Thursday, June 20th at 1:30 p.m., officiated by Brother Jimmy Pearcy at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Waynesboro. The final resting place will be the Memorial Gardens of Wayne County.
