Frankie Mae McDonald

Frankie Mae Whitaker McDonald of Selmer was born on June 5, 1931, to the late James Marion and Julia Myrtle Ramsey Whitaker. Mrs. McDonald worked for Brown Shoe Company for 15 years and Kolpak Refrigeration Company for 5 years. She also worked as a waitress for 20 years. She was a member of Selmer First United Methodist Church.She passed from this life on Monday, April 6, 2009, in Selmer, at the age of 77 years, 10 months, and 1 day.Survivors are her son Dennis Goff and wife Regenia of Selmer; two granddaughters, Miranda Goff Gilliam of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Leigh Ann Goff Lien and husband David of Atlanta, Georgia; two great-grandsons, Harrison Gilliam and Andrew Lien; two sisters, Mary Ruth Grissom and Mary Alice Moore, both of Selmer.A host of other relatives and friends.Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by three sisters, Montez Hill, Marie Thorton, Lucille Foster, and five brothers, Eulie Whitaker, Billy Joe Whitaker, James Marion Whitaker, Jr., and Milton D. Whitaker.
