Frankie Evelyn Dunaway, 76, of Whiteville, died Sunday morning, January 14, 2007 at her home.
The widow of Joseph Franklin Dunaway, she worked at Western Mental Health Institute for 14 years in housekeeping. Mrs. Dunaway was born December 19, 1930 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Teddy Roosevelt Lambert and Vadie Rowland Lambert and lived here all of her life. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, loved flowers and enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include two daughters, Bernice Cannon of Whiteville and Faye Lynn Cannon of Jackson; three sons. Jimmy Lee Dunaway and Joseph Franklin Dunaway, Jr., both of Whiteville and Jerry Wayne Dunaway of Jackson; one sister, Bobbie Jean Watkins of Sausbury; two brothers, Ted Lambert, Jr. of Saulsbury and Freddie Lambert of Bolivar; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, James Raymond Dunaway and Larry Joe Dunaway; three sisters, Opal Lambert, Margie Graves, Brenda Lambert and two brothers, Russell and Bobby Joe Lambert.
