Henderson: F. L. Seaton, Jr. age 86 died Saturday night, December 15, 2007 at Forrest Cove Manor in Jackson.
Mr. Seaton was born and reared in the New Friendship Community of Chester County, the son of the late Frank Lee and Cora Peddy Seaton. He attended schools at Bray School and Chester County High School and in 1937 was married to Vaneida Holder and they made their home in the New Friendship Community all their married life. Mr. Seaton farmed as a young man and then worked at Quality Mfg. Co. operating a shoe last machine until his retirement. Mrs. Seaton preceded in death in 1994.
He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church where he had served as Sunday School Superintendent, Training Unit Director, and song leader for many years. He loved gardening, blue grass music, and dominos.
He is survived by three sons: Lamar Seaton(Margaret) of Jackson, Terry Seaton(Wanda) of Henderson, and Danny Seaton(Suzanne) of Jackson, and four daughters: Carolyn Chaffee of Memphis, Sue Williams of Henderson, Brenda Seaton of Henderson, and Tiny Hollin-Head(Kenneth) of Greenville, SC. He also has 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a grandson David Wayne Smith.
He also has a brother: George Seaton of San Bernardino, CA and two sisters: Velma Sells of Henderson, and Allene Frix of Memphis. He was preceded in death by three brothers Willard, Hubert, and Joe Neal Seaton, and four sisters; Maurine Talley, Nola Webb, Catherine Johnson, and Clara Mae Moody.
