FRANK VAN BOLING
Was born in Morris Chapel, Tennessee on October 7, 1938 the son of the late John Ovid and Mildred Harrison Boling.
On June 10, 1962 he was united in marriage to the former Janice Kate Hughes of Morris Chapel.
Mr. Boling was a graduate of Morris Chapel High School and Memphis State University. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp. from October 1961 to May 1965. He was employed at Tennessee River Pulp and Paper Company of Counce, Tennessee for thirty-four years prior to his retirement in 1999.
Mr. Boling was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Savannah where he served on the Board of Trustees and several committees. He was a Boy Scout Leader, Little League Coach, a member of the Quarterback Club, and served for several years on the Savannah Utility Board.
Mr. Boling departed this life on September 17, 2006 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 10 days.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Janice Hughes Boling of Savannah; a daughter, Lisa Elaine Boling of Savannah; a son, Dr. Gregory Hughes Boling of Jackson, Mississippi; a sister, Gale Boling Jones of Counce; and six-grandchildren, Hillary Hunt, Jackson Hunt, Rivers Hunt, Hailey Hardin, Harrison Hughes Boling and Anne Avery Boling.
