Frank Allen Barnett

Frank Allen Barnett of Waynesboro, TN was born November 15, 1936 in New Madrid, MO, the son of the late Jesse Frank and Hazel Louise Shy Barnett. He was united in marriage to the former Patsy Nell Brewer on July 9, 1955 and she preceded him in death on June 29, 1991. Mr. Barnett married the former Celia Dixon Bass on June 11, 1999 and she preceded him in death on July 27, 2020. Mr. Barnett was a retired automobile salesman, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He had served in the Tennessee National Guard. Mr. Barnett departed this life on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 1 Month, 13 Days. He is survived by sons, Victor Barnett, wife, Kathy and Andee Brewer Barnett, wife, Stephanie all of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Jyl Barnett Davis, husband, Tim, Ringgold, GA and Joby Hughes, husband, Mark and Bridget Crews, husband, Jason all of Waynesboro, TN; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Rick Barnett, wife, Marsha, Hendersonville, TN; sisters, June Steele, husband Jeter, Waynesboro, TN and Betty Hurst, Birmingham, AL and nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday, December 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Adam Rush and Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, TN assisting the family. Visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10 am to service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Joel Barnett, Tyler Hughes, Cameron McDonald, Ben Hargrove, Heath Davis and Josh Coulter.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be given to the Butterfly Foundation or the Janet Johnston Smith Foundation.
