Francis Elizabeth (Liz) Stanfill Blankenship Taylor was born on January 21, 1938 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Bynum and Martha Smith Stanfill. She was united in marriage to J.R. "Bud" Blankenship who preceded his wife in death. She was then united in marriage to James Terry Taylor on August 22, 1980. Mr. Taylor preceded his wife in death on November 17, 2015.
Mrs. Taylor resided in Hardin County, Tennessee from 1954-1972, McNairy County, Tennessee from 1972-1980, and Madison County, Tennessee from 1980-November 2015. Liz was a member of Adamsville First Baptist Church and previously worked in assembly for 7 years for Murry Outdoor Products. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, sewing, crafts, puzzle books, and going to estate sales.
Francis Elizabeth Taylor departed this life on August 13, 2016 at the age of 78 years, 6 months, 23 days.
She is survived by her children, Sherry Teresa Maness, and her husband Sammie, of Adamsville, Tennessee and Bobby Joe Blankenship of Bath Springs, Tennessee; 4 sisters, Velma Robinson of Savannah, Tennessee, Barbara Taylor of Savannah, Tennessee, Edna Browder of Savannah, Tennessee, and Janet Robertson of Pulaski, Tennessee; 1 brother, Larry Stanfill of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany Warren and Tabatha Jarrett; and 4 great-grandchildren, Ashley Warren, Owen Warren, Lily Jarrett, and Luke Jarrett.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Blankenship and 5 siblings, Oleta Polk, Tommy Joe Stanfill, Linda Cook, Earl Stanfill, and Freda Stanfill.
