Frances Thompson

FRANCES MEEK THOMPSONwas born in Earle, Arkansas on January 27, 1918 the daughter of the late Charles and Birdie Meek.In July of 1941 she was united in marriage to Charles Thompson, who preceded his wife in death on November 12, 1999.Mrs. Thompson was a teacher for Memphis and Hardin County Schools. She taught school for 12 years at St. Paul's in Memphis, Tennessee. Mrs. Thompson was of Catholic belief. She graduated Memphis Tech High School in 1936 and the University of Memphis in 1941 with a LLB degree in law. Mrs. Thompson departed this life on October 23, 2008 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 26 days.She is survived by one son, Charles Clinton Thompson, II and his wife Betty Cole Thompson of McLean, Virginia3 grandchildren, Charles Cole Thompson, Andrew Owen Thompson and Samuel Shannon Thompsonone great-grandchild, Finn Michael ThompsonMrs. Thompson was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Frances Thompson, one sister, Betty Cota and one brother, Charles A. Meek.
