Frances Phillips

She was born in Chester County, the daughter of the late Alfred and Ella Cawthon Clifford. She graduated Chester County High School in 1942. Mrs. Phillips was raised by her grandmother Carmon Clifford. She was married to James Phillips in 1943 and they made their home in Chester County until 1956 when they moved to Memphis. She owned and operated Medical Professional Management Services for 25 years retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Colonial Baptist Church in Memphis.

She is survived by as son Jerry Phillips and his wife Cindy of Cordova; two grandchildren Casey Turner and Jessie Phillips; a sister Lula Scarbrough of Jackson and two brothers Mavin Clifford and Robert Clifford.

She was preceded in death by her husband James (Spud) Phillips in 2001 and a brother Neal Clifford.
