Frances Virginia Harris

Mrs. Frances Virginia Vales Harris, age 81 of Bolivar, passed from this life Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Bolivar General Hospital.She was born August 3, 1927 in Hardeman County to the late James Thomas Vales, Jr. and Minnie Belle Sills Vales. She married Samuel Harris October 20, 1945 and they made their home in Bolivar. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crafts. She was a great cook and mother, attended Dixie Hills Baptist Church and was a former member of Bolivar First Baptist Church. Her husband preceded her in death October 24, 1985.Survivors include a daughter, Linda Henson and husband John of Bolivar; a son, Samuel Lee Harris and wife Pat of Memphis; six grandchildren, Lisa Enders of Bolivar, Benji Henson of Altamont Springs, FL, and Brandon, Crystal, Kelly and Casey Harris, all of Memphis; five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kristen Enders, and Kayla, Keristen and Alea Harris; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Kiestler; and five brothers, Ed, Alvis (Slim), Tom, Willard and Chester Vales.
