Frances Cossar

Frances McCommon Cossar, 90, of Hickory Valley died Sunday night at her home.



The daughter of Robert Frank and Ellie Bryant McCommon, who preceded her in death, she was a homemaker and lived all her life in Hardeman County. She married Jewell Wesley Cossar April 10, 1933 who died on December 13, 1979. She was a member of West Memorial Baptist church, loved gardening and tending to her flowers.



She is survived by her 6 daughters: Hazel (J. D.) Yopp , Margie (Dick) Mignard, Evelyene Hobson, Dianne (Don) Doles all of Hickory Valley, Peggy Goodman of Bolivar, and Ruby Maddox of Memphis; 4 sons: J. W. Cossar and Mickey (Geneva) Cossar both of Hickory Valley, Charles (Lorene) Cossar and Jimmy (Linda) Cossar both of Bolivar; 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild; and by 1 brother Edman McCommon of Arlington. She is preceded in death by 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 grandson Jeff Goodman, 1 great-granddaughter Courtney Sisco, 1 daughter-in-law Becky Cossar, 3 sons-in-law Mac Hobson, Walter Goodman and Donnie Maddox.
