Frances Duncan Cook

Ms. Cook passed away Tuesday night at her home.



A native of Bolivar, Ms. Cook was born to the late James T. Duncan and Marie Pipkin Duncan, raised in Hardeman County and lived most of her life in Shelby County. She worked for the Shelby County School System as a cafeteria cook for 25 years. She loved her family and was a devoted friend and co-worker.



She is survived by a son, David L. Cook, Jr. of Arlington; two daughters, Debbie Jean Finley and Lisa Carol Derrick, both of Collierville; four sisters, Clara Taylor and Ozell Shields, both of Bolivar, Ruby Onder of Huntsville, AL, Dorothy Clark of Jackson; three brothers, Dennis Duncan of Olive Branch, MS, Ronald Duncan and James Duncan, both of Bolivar; and six grandchildren, Colby Chance Cook, Shelby Allison Cook, Charles Owen Fryer, III, Rodney Bruce Derrick, Nikki Lynn Finley and David Keith Finley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Jean Duncan; and a brother, Grady Lee Duncan.
