Frances Chumley

Henderson, TN: Leah Frances Taylor Chumley, age 92, passed away June 2, 2010 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.She was born and reared in Henderson, the daughter of the late David Homer and Nannie Jones Taylor. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1939. She was married to Bill Chumley in 1941 and they made their home in Memphis. Mrs. Chumley worked as a sales clerk at various places in Memphis. She moved to Heritage Towers in 1989 and had made her home at Chester County Healthcare since 2009. She was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church.She is survived by two sons; Jim Chumley and wife Ginny of Sugar Hill, GA and Dale Chumley of Henderson; a daughter, Brenda Corey and husband William of Mifflin; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two brothers, James Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, MS and Howell Taylor of Bartlett and two sisters, Robbie T. Hill of Memphis and Joyce Owen of Bartlett.She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Allen Chumley and two sisters, Mary Chandler and Sue Butler.
