FRANCES ADKINS
Henderson, TN: Frances Marie Camberos Adkins age 75 passed away at her home.
She was born March 23, 1944 in Chicago, IL and was the daughter of the late Savino Cabera Comberos and Geneva Virginia Johnson Camberos. She attended Gary High School in Gary, WV. She returned to Chicago, IL where she married her husband John Carson Adkins of Huntington, WV. They made their home there and raised their family. They moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL and then Henderson, TN. Mr. Adkins died July 23, 2007. She was baptized Catholic and remained a strong Christian woman.
She was an avid reader, loved gardening, crafting, games and puzzles. But, most importantly she loved and cherished her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Her husband and sister Josephine White of Athens, WV preceded Mrs. Adkins in death. She is survived by her two sons, John Adkins, Jr. of Henderson and Shannon Adkins (Lisa) of West Palm Beach, FL, two daughters, Tina Adkins of Henderson and Cindy Napoli (John) of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Rachel Napoli (Dillion Heidelberg), Brian Napoli (Brittni Pearson), Ashley Adkins, Haley Adkins, Kendall Adkins, Brooke Adkins and Anna Napoli and one great grandchild, Brock Napoli; two brothers, Toby Perez (Vivian) of Franklin, TN and Michael Laurinaitis, IN; three sisters, Jeddy Barnes of Henderson, Dottie Bell of Michie and Barbara Ottinger of Palatine, IL. As well as, many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main with Anthony Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at East Main from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Sunday.
