FLOYD EDWARD WEATHERSPOON, SR. (SH0RT TOP)
was born in Nance Bend, Tennessee on February 28, 1922 the son of the late Nex and Lenny Bright Weatherspoon.
On July 27, 1957 he was united in marriage to the former JoAnn Burns, who survives.
Mr. Weatherspoon was a retired construction worker. He was a member of Love Tabernacle Church of God in Christ.
He departed this life on March 28, 2007 at the Hardin County Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 85 years and 1 month.
Other than his wife, JoAnn of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by 11 children, Dorothy Ann Alexander of Savannah, Tennessee, James Edward Burns and his wife Margaret of Savannah, Tennessee, Sherian Denise Hartnest and her husband Emmett of Savannah, Tennessee, Stevie Norvell Weatherspoon and his wife Patricia of Savannah, Tennessee, Kimberly Gayle Weatherspoon and her husband David of Savannah, Tennessee, Victor Wayne Weatherspoon of Texas, Galvin Terrell Weatherspoon of Jackson, Tennessee, Elizabeth Ann McCoy of Tupelo, Mississippi, Verice Weatherspoon of New York, Floyd Edward Weatherspoon of New York and Shirly Ann Ohiri of New York.
a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren
and a large host of nieces and nephews
Mr. Weatherspoon was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Donnie Leon Hartnest and Antonio Teon Hartnest and 2 brothers, Raymond Franks Weatherspoon, Sr. and William H. Bumphus, Sr.
