Floyd E. Rickman was born October 18, 1932 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late James Morgan and the late Mamie Orlena Reid Rickman. He was united in marriage to Martha Marie Robbins on July 21, 1951. Mrs.Rickman preceded him in death on February 8, 2000.Mr. Rickman was Master Chief Petty Officer for 22 years in the United Stated Navy, personnel manager for the City of Memphis for 10 years, worked for United States Park Service as a park ranger for 9 years at Shiloh National Military Park, former member of 911 Board of Directors of McNairy County, member of the Peeble Hill Methodist Church where he was very active, and active in the Boy Scouts of America and his grandson, Alex. He was a devoted father and grandfather, driving teacher to his girls and a Civil War History buff.Mr. Rickman departed this life on July 21, 2007 in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 74 Years, 9 Months, 3 Days. He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Poag and husband Kenneth of Brighton, Tennessee, and Joyce Joralemon of Covington, Tennessee; granddaughter, Wendy Mushik and husband Jason of Michie, Tennessee; great grandson, Alex Roach of Michie, Tennessee; sister, Victoria Richardson of Jackson, Tennessee; and host of other relatives and friends.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Rickman was preceded in death by two sisters, Naoma Burns, and Pat Rickman and brother, Orlean Rickman.
