Floyd Thomas (Tom) Goolsby

Floyd Thomas Goolsby of Iron City, TN was born August 16, 1932 in Lawrence County, TN, the son of the late Floyd and Mattie Shelton Goolsby. Mr. Goolsby was a retired sawmill worker and departed this life on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 2 Months, 3 Days.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Goolsby was preceded in death by brothers, Beaumont Goolsby, Buford Goolsby, Sam Goolsby; sisters, Dexter Martin, Mattie Henson, Doris Bartail, Marcie Sims.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 1 pm at Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with David Lambert officiating. Burial will follow with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Daniel Caperton, Nicholas Caperton, Steven Wright, Matthew Wright and Tyler Wright.

Visitation will be Friday, October 21, 2016 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 10 am until 12:30 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood, TN.
