Floyd Counce

FLOYD COUNCE





Was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 27, 1927 the son of the late James Marvin and Vera Adams Counce.



On April 22, 1955 he was united in marriage to the former Shirley June Wood, who survives.



Mr. Counce was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He worked for Inside Out and was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church and was a member of United Methodist Men. Mr. Counce was also a member of the Lions Club.



He departed this life on June 30, 2006 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 3 days.



Other than his wife, Shirley of Shiloh, Tennessee, he is survived by 2 daughters, Melanie Murray of Stantonville, Tennessee and Gayle Freier of Little Rock, Arkansas.



4 grandchildren



One sister, Peggy Burks of Michie, Tennessee.



Other than his parents, Mr. Counce was also preceded in death by one sister, Margie Waddell and 2 brothers, Marvin Earl “Josh” Counce and Bobby Lowell Counce.
