Floy Mae Hodum, age 89 of Walnut, MS, passed from this life Monday, November 3, 2008 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS.She was born October 27, 1919 in Tippah County, MS to the late Euel and Ida Murry Clark. Having lived most of her life in Alcorn County, she married Roy Almous Hodum August 21, 1943. She was a homemaker, loved quilting and gardening and attended Essary Springs Baptist Church. Her husband preceded her in death December 13, 1983.She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Gentry of Bolivar; a son, Terry Hodum of Walnut; two sisters, Viola Holmes and Lorene McAlister, both of Ripley; a brother, Homer Clark of Memphis; two grandchildren, Keith Hodum of Walnut and James Gentry of Southaven; and three great-grandchildren, Elijah Hodum and Caleb Hodum of Walnut and Lindsee Gentry of Southaven. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Murry Clark, Vester Clark and Wayne Clark; and a sister, Eudora McLeroy.
