Mrs. Overton was born December 24, 1908 in Hardeman County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Joe and Jane Oakes Henson.
She was united in marriage to William Siler 'Son' Overton on December 24, 1929. Mr. Overton preceded her in death on July 12, 1982.
Mrs. Overton was a homemaker and also worked as an apple grader for Anderson Fruit Farms. Mrs. Overton enjoyed quilting, cooking and sewing. She was a member of the Cloverport Church of Christ in Cloverport, Tennessee and lived all of her life here.
Mrs. Overton departed this life on April 30, 2009 in Bolivar, Tennessee at the age of 100 Years, 4 Months, 6 Days.
She is survived by two daughters, Bernice Daniel of Phoenix, Arizona and Martha Hillhouse (Ricky) of Bolivar; a son, Siler Ray Overton (Mary Jo) of Union City; a sister, Velma Pirtle of Henderson; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Florence Jane Sullivan in 1989 and 2 brothers and one sister.
