Florine “Rene†Martin Moore, 83, of Memphis, died Sunday, February 12, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Services were 1:00 pm Thursday, February 16, 2006 at Memphis Funeral Home on Germantown Parkway with a graveside service at 4:00 PM at Middleburg Cemetery near Bolivar. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.
She was a retired artist, a life member and past president of the Nineteenth Century Club, a member and past president of the Memphis Branch, National League of American Pen Women, a member and past president of the Bartlett Garden Club and a member of the Watauga Branch, Daughters of the the American Revolution.
She is survived by one daughter, Janice Lynn Moore of Bolivar, Tenn.; two sons, Alan Everett Moore of Whiteville, Tenn. and James Bruce Moore of Memphis; two grandsons whom she and her husband raised, Michael A. Moore of Bolivar and Brian S. Moore of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She also leaves two other grandsons, Jim Moore and Sam Moore and two granddaughters, Libby Moore and Mary Margaret Moore, all of Memphis and three great grandchildren, Everett Moore, Martha Florine Moore and Stone Moore all of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She also leaves one sister, Lila Tyler of Memphis, Tenn.
Mrs. Moore was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Bartlett, Tenn.
