Florence Thrasher

Services for Florence Thrasher, age 94, of Wayne Care Nursing Home, Waynesboro, TN, formerly of Collinwood, TN, will be Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 3 pm at First Baptist Church in Collinwood with Frank Ray and Mike Hammonds officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday, June 9, 2007 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Sunday, June 10, 2007 from 9 am until 2:30 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood.



She died at Wayne Care Nursing Home in Waynesboro on Friday, June 8, 2007.



Mrs. Thrasher, a native of Wayne County, TN, was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Ida Berry Arnett, the wife of the late Rufus Thrasher, the mother of the late Marpaline Jones and Bobby Thrasher, and the grandmother of the late Terry Brown.



Survivors, sons, Paul Thrasher, Sr. of Cypress Inn, TN, Donnie Thrasher and Billy Thrasher both of Florence, AL; daughters, Margaret Dial of Cypress Inn, TN and Judy McNeese of Iron City, TN; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Jamie Morgan Rickard.
