Flora Williams
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on March 7, 1911 the daughter of the late G.W. and Carrie Austin McBride.
On July 9, 1932 she was united in marriage to Willie Robert Williams, who preceded her in death on December 2, 1986.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and had lived in the Sardis area most of her life. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and staying with her grandchildren. She liked to attend the Senior Citizens Meetings, played Bingo, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and studying her Bible.
Mrs. Williams departed this life on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the age of 99 years, 23 days.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Leswayne Williams and his wife Cynthia of Saltillo, Tennessee; 2 daughters, Sherold Reid and husband Jim of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, Betty Janeus Doyle and husband William of Sardis, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren. Jimmy Dean Reid, Scott Reid, Troy Williams, Betty Webster, Barbara Pugh, and Carolyn Durbin; 8 grandchildren, and a brother-in-law, Travis Morris of Adamsville, Tennessee.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Bobby and Dewayne Williams; a sister, Ora Morris; a brother, Onie McBride.
