Fletcher Tate was born October 14, 1924 in Stantonville, TN the son of the late Jessie Fletcher and Nora Plunk Tate.He was united in marriage to Mary Bess Murray on June 13, 1967.Mr. Tate was retired from the United States Army having attained the rank of Sergeant after 23 1/2 years of service. He served in World War II and Korea. After retiring from the military, Mr. Tate worked for the Milan Ammunitions Plant. He later worked for General Electric as a line worker for 13 years, and retired with perfect attendance. Mr. Tate was a member of the Bethel Springs church of Christ in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. He was an expert bowler, an avid fisherman, loved hunting and enjoyed being with his grandchildren.Mr. Tate departed this life on January 11, 2012 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 2 Months, 28 Days. He is survived by his wife Mary Bess (Murray) Tate of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Debbie Wilson and husband Jeff of Bethel Springs, TN; a son, Tony Inman and wife Debbie of Lockport, IL; six grandchildren, Nikki Talley, Kim Talley, Sam Inman, Kevin Inman, Brian Howell, and Stephanie Howell; five great grandchildren, Blake Talley, Jeremy Johnson, Jamie Johnson, Colby Roberts, and Peyton Roberts; two great great grandchildren, Landon Taylor, and Ryder Talley; two sisters, Audie Williams of Trenton, IL and Tina Gilliam of Memphis, TN. A host of extended family and friends.
