Mr. Rebeaud was born in Hull-Ottawa, Quebec Canada, to the late Eduardo Rebeaud and Louise Cornu Rebeaud. He died Friday, July 20, 2007 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro. He was preceded in death by sons, Wilbur and Bert Rebeaud; grandson, Edward Rebeaud; sisters, Marie Wells and Olga Heinrich; and a brother, Louis Rebeaud.
Mr. Rebeaud was a Golden Gloves Boxer in New York State in his early years. He retired from General Motors as a design engineer in 1974 and relocated to Glennie, Michigan where he raised cattle and farmed. Also he lived in South Point, Ohio and Ann Arbor, Michigan prior to relocating to Wayne County. He also worked at Ford Motor Co. and U.S. Rubber, where at 18 years old was the youngest foreman ever hired. He also owned and operated apartment buildings, fuel stations, land, and cattle ranches. He loved tracking and investing in New York Stock Exchange and could finish a New York Times crossword without assistance. Family and his church were of utmost importance and the center of his life. He served in the National Guard and was of the Baptist Faith, however, he had been a member of many different churches for many years, but presently was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Collinwood.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pauline Adkins Rebeaud of Wayneboro, TN; sons, Edward Rebeaud and his wife Elizabeth of Pleasanton, Texas, David Rebeaud and his wife Patricia of Pulaski, TN, James Rebeaud and his companion Linda of Waynesboro, TN, Rex Rebeaud and his wife Ginger of Capac, MI, and Mark Rebeaud and his wife Judy of Yale, MI; daughters, Paulette Haddock and her husband Larry of Collinwood, TN and Vicky Curtis and her husband Brian of Westpoint, TN; stepson, Richard Walker and his wife Becky of South Point, OH; 20 grandchildren Phillip, Mark, Ritchie, Robin, Brita, Emily, Jimmy, Wayne, Michelle, Charles, Vicky, Amanda, Kelly, Michael, Larry Jr., Joe, Heidi, Kira, Amanda, and John Wesley; several great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild
