Fayetta Staggs

Fayetta Staggs, age 88, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on November 17, 2024. She was born on January 29, 1936 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late Clyde and Emma Francis Staggs West.

Fayetta's life was marked by her deep love for family and creativity. She cherished her role as a homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing her loved ones. On April 7, 1962, she married Raymond Staggs, a union filled with love and partnership. After his passing on September 10, 2014, she continued to carry his memory in her heart.

A gifted artist, Fayetta found joy in expressing herself through painting and drawing, always embracing the beauty of her imagination. Her love for sewing led her to create delightful teddy bears. Fayetta also had a special fondness for exploring flea markets, where she would hunt for unique trinkets, each with a story to tell.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Emma Francis Staggs; her brother, William “Bud” Franklin Staggs; and her sisters, Mary Marie Jones, and Bonnie West.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Highland Methodist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN with Sarah Alice Jones officiating with burial to follow. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
