Faye (Tottie) V. White

Faye (Tottie) V. Beard White was born August 15, 1931 in Jackson, TN the daughter of the late O.B. and Grace Violet Jones Beard.

Faye attended high school in Jackson and was the first graduating class who attended all four years at Northside High School. She furthered her education at University of Tennessee in Memphis and graduated with a B.S. in nursing.

She was united in marriage to Richard White on August 15, 1959.

Faye worked at the Polio Clinic in Houston, TX, George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. and Arlington Hospital in Arlington, VA. She started her nursing career in 1953 and retired in 1992. Throughout her career, she witnessed a lot of advancement in medicine. 

She was an avid sports fan and supporter of Adamsville Cardinals soccer, basketball and softball. She always enjoyed cheering on the players and the coaches. She attended church at Oak Grove Methodist church in Jackson, TN and First United Methodist church in Adamsville, TN.

Mrs. White departed this life on January 23, 2024 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 5 Months, 8 Days. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard White of Adamsville, TN; children, Katherine Hill of Adamsville, TN, Peter White of Alexandria, VA, Karen Protiva of Monmouth, OR; twelve grandchildren, Katie Hill, Corrie Hill, Christie White, Cary White, Haley Protiva, J.D. Protiva, Nicole White, Jessenia Montiel, Anthony Germandia, Roger Hill, Becky Steffen, Jenny Buffa; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by a son, Richard White V; a grandson, Richard White VI; two brothers, Jack Beard, Genie Beard; a sister, Betty Cross.

Inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
