Faye B. Lowry, 83, of Memphis, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at her home in Memphis.
The widow of Carl E. Lowry, Sr., who died September 8, 1995, she retired as a bookkeeper and was a homemaker. Mrs. Lowry was born October 4, 1921 in Middleton, daughter of the late Millard F. and Ellen Luttrell Lanier, graduated from Middleton High School and had lived in Memphis since the early 1940's. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Memphis.
Services were 1 pm Friday, July 22, 2005 at the Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Middleton with Dr. Leo Crofford officiating. Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Alexis Rose of Byhalia, Miss. and Claire Lowry of Memphis; one son, Carl E. Lowry, Jr. of Oak Ridge; one granddaughter, two grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Newt, K.C. Pat and Millard Lanier and two sisters, Christine Eubanks and Lois Thornton.
