Fairy Izola McAlpin

Mrs. Fairy Izola (Jubie) McAlpin of Middleton departed this life Monday morning, December 31, 2012 at McNairy County Health Care Center in Selmer. She was 78 years old.
A lifelong resident of Middleton, she was born September 13, 1934 to the late Oneal and Viola Pipkin Howell. On June 25, 1950 she was united in marriage to Golden McAlpin, who preceded her in death June 12 1996. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of the New Bethany Church of Christ in Middleton. Among her hobbies, she particularly enjoyed working with flowers.
Mrs. McAlpin is survived by two daughters, Barbara Stamey and husband Mike of Middleton and Carolyn Townsend and husband Roger of Middleton; a son, Charles McAlpin and wife Sandra of Middleton; a sister, Dorothy Simpson of Middleton; two brothers, Buster Howell and wife Linda of Middleton and James Oner Howell and wife Margie of Bethel Springs; seven grandchildren, Angie, Josh, Nikki, Jeremy, Jeanie, Casey and J. R.; nine great-grandchildren, Jacob, John, Kaylee, Matthew, Madison, Joseph, Ryan, Austin and Morgan; and three step-great-grandchildren, Farrah, Sean and Angie.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Gravitt.
