Exie Lee Russell Farrow

Exie Lee Robinson Russell Farrow, age 83, died November 24, 2008 at her daughter’s home in Rome, GA.
She was born and reared in Chester County, Sweetlips Community, the daughter of the late Dubert Robinson and Dolly Mae Fleming Russell Parmly. She attended Chester County Schools. She was married to Tillman Taylor Russell and they lived in the Sweetlips Community. She moved to Memphis and worked as a surgical technician at Methodist Hospital Central. She was later married to Herman “Short†Farrow. They moved to Chester County in 1962 and lived in the Plainview community. She later returned to Memphis and went back to work for Methodist Central and retired in 1982. She continued to make her home in Memphis until ten years ago when she moved to Rome, GA to make her home near her daughter Claudia and had made her home with her daughter for the past year.
She is survived by two daughters, Claudia Russell Mitchell of Rome, GA and Carolyn Farrow Mayfield of Henderson; two sons, Dubert Taylor “Sonny†Russell of Finger, TN and Elvis Michael Russell of Murfreesboro, TN; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Emma Jean Pickett of Henderson, Dorothy Shelton of Washington, IL and Ann Ramell Faulkenberry of Montgomery, AL.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Johnnie Lou Barrett and Nancy Lavell Martin.
