Everette Dewayne Turnbow

Everette Dewayne Turnbow was born on December 29,1939 in Adamsville, Tennessee, the son of the late Grady William Turnbow, Sr. and Cora Mae Hollingsworth Turnbow. 

On December 22, 1962, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Dean Meeks, who preceded him in death on June 16, 2009.

Everette Dewayne Turnbow departed this life on September 26, 2023 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 8 months, and 28 days. 

In 1981, Everette retired from the United States Army, where he honorably served his country for 22 years, finishing his military career as a First Sergeant. He was a proud Army Veteran who served his country in Vietnam and abroad. Everette was also a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. 

Everette loved fishing, spending time on his computer, and tinkering with anything he could fix. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his daughter, Angella Revis and husband John of Warrior, Alabama; son, Rodger Turnbow and wife Patti of New Port Richey, Florida; grandchildren, Melissa Gohn and husband Morgan of Morris, Alabama, Amanda Gulley and husband Eric of Memphis, Indiana, Kristen Strojnowski and husband Matthew of Tampa, Florida, and Jimmy Silvioiti and wife Tracey of New Port Richey, Florida; and great grandchildren, Audrey, Luke, Everette, Landry, Olivia, Matthew, Katlyn, Jocelyn, Ashlyn, Aundrea, and Joseph; sister, Catherin Kindrick of Jackson, Tennessee, and brothers; Sammy K. Turnbow of Parsons, Tennessee, and Roy Gene Turnbow and wife Johnnie of Corinth, Mississippi.

In addition to his parents and wife, Everette was preceded in death by his brothers, Grady W. Turnbow, Jr., and Joe Neal Turnbow; sister, Betty Joyce Brown, and great grandchild, Aubrey.
