Services for Evelyn Marie Smith, 72, Florence, AL will be Monday, June 23, 2008 at 1 pm at Glendale Church of Christ, Florence, with Joel Caudle and Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lutts, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Michael Holden, Jesse Willis, Danny Potts, Kenneth Patterson, Henry Eddy, Smitty Smith and honorary pallbearers will be Justin Proctor, Doyle Holt, and the farm families in the community. Visitation will be Monday, from 10 am until service time at Glendale Church of Christ.Mrs. Smith died at E. C. M. Hospital in Florence, Friday, June 20, 2008. A native of Colbert County, AL, Mrs. Smith had worked as a hotel hostess and was a member of the Glendale Church of Christ in Florence, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Mae Gallagher Puckett; daughter, Debra Marie Patterson; son, Gregory Anthony Patterson; brothers, Jack, Fred, and Riley Puckett; sisters, Ethel Bowling, Edna Terry. Survivors, husband, Doyle Smith,Florence, AL; sons, Johnny Patterson (Donna), Leighton, AL, Curtis Smith (Marcie), Brooksfield, FL, David Smith (Kim), Plant City, FL, Chris Patterson, Florence, AL; brother, Clyde Puckett, Jr. (Kathleen), Ford City, AL; grandchildren, Justin, Stephanie, Jesse, Britney, Ann Marie, Jimmy, Lil David, three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
