Evelyn Pearson

Evelyn Pearson was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on June 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Clyde Poindexter and Elsie Othelia Tuberville Durbin.Mrs. Pearson was a retired receptionist at Allen Blinds Co. and a beautician at Ellen's Beauty Salon in Memphis, Tennessee. She had lived all of her adult life in Memphis. She was a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church. Her hobbies included painting, sewing, gardening, pets, and crafts of all types.Mrs. Pearson departed this life on Friday, March 14, 2008 at the age of 80 years, 9 months, 3 days.She is survived by her son: Joseph Oscar Pearson and his wife Brenda J. of Memphis, Tennessee; 2 brothers: Travis Durbin of Adamsville, Tennessee and John Poindexter of Corinth, Mississippi; 1 sister: Mary LoPorto of Adamsville, Tennessee; 1 grandson: Jessie Lucas Pearson.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Billy William Durbin, Charles Edward Durbin, Bobby Joe Durbin; 2 sisters: Marie English and Lois Bowen.
