Memorial services for Evelyn Doris Lucas, age 91, of Waynesboro will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Waynesboro with Allen Ranshaw officiating. Her remains were cremated.
Mrs. Lucas was born in Saskatchewan, Canada to the late William Suter and Martha Yeake Suter. She died at her home on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 after a lengthy illness. She and Mr. Lucas had moved to Wayne County from Michigan where they had lived most of their lives. Mrs. Lucas, a homemaker, was a very loving person who loved and enjoyed all her grandchildren. She also loved to go and talk to her neighbors about the Bible. She attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived by her husband of over 70 years, Norman Lucas of Waynesboro; children, Neil Lucas and wife Carolyn of Easling, S.C.,
Jerry Lucas and wife Mary of West Branch, MI, Glennis Mosher of
Armada, MI, Jim Lucas and wife Rachael of Collinwood, TN, and
Kathy Ranshaw and husband Allen of Clifton, TN
21 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren
Brother, Chet Suter of Kalamazoo, MI, and sisters, Marion Ortenburg of Gladwin, MI, and Pearl Devenny of Beaverton, MI
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, great grandson, four sisters, and son in law, Richard Mosher
