Evelyn Cross

Mrs. Cross died Sunday, Nov. 4 at Bolivar General Hospital. The widow of Harold Dallas Cross, who died on April 24, 1990, she was a clerk and gardening consultant with the Hardeman County Farmers Co-Op, working for 27 years. She was born on Feb. 26, 1914 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Samuel Vernon Doyle and Willie Delia Owens Doyle. Mrs. Cross was a member of Parrans Chapel Baptist Church.



Survivors include four daughters, June Bryant of Whiteville, Faye Caldwell of Atlanta, Ga., Terry Lax of Middleburg and Nancy Mathews of Jackson; a sister, Nell Fahr of Bolivar; two brothers, Jewell Doyle of Florida and Bill Doyle of Middleton; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Samuel Doyle, Dorcas Dial and Burnell Doyle.
