Eva Nola Frazier York

Eva Nola Frazier York of Waynesboro, TN was born February 28, 1926 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late Georgia and Mandy Mathis Frazier. She was united in marriage to Bill York on July 31, 1945 and he preceded her in death on September 25, 1998.

Mrs. York was a homemaker and a member of the Wayne Furnace Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

Mrs. York departed this life on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 96 Years, 7 Months, 23 Days.

She is survived by sons, Billy York of Paducah, KY and Elbert York and wife, Carla of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Sammy and Scotty York, Kathy Smotherman, Karen Cortellesi, Steve Skelton, Anthony York, Tara Fitton, Tracy Kilburn, Tyler York and Molly York Ashley and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. York was preceded in death by a son, Wayne York; a daughter, Margaret Cortellesi; a son-in-law, Frank Cortellesi; a daughter-in-law, Linda York; brothers, R. T. and Sonny Frazier and a sister, Mattie Brown.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Cary Crews officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 1 pm to service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tyler York, Scott Ashley, Steve Skelton, Cainaan Stricklin, Aiden Ashley and Chuck Cortellesi.
