Eunice Yoakum

Eunice Yoakumwas born in Boonville, Indiana on August 12, 1912 the daughter of the late Truman and Anna Hartman Parker.On April 12, 1955 she was united in marriage to Nathen Yoakum, who preceded her in death in 1986.Ms. Yoakum had owned her own beauty shop "Eunice's Beauty Shop". In addition to Boonville, Indiana she had lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Winslow, Indiana, and Savannah, Tennessee for 4 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Methodist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee and the Main Street Baptist Church in Boonville, Indiana for 31 years. Ms. Yoakum loved music, church, and playing piano. She lived a wonderful life. Ms. Yoakum departed this life on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the age of 95 years, 11 months, 5 days.Ms. Yoakum is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Bughler Goodman and her husband J.C. of Savannah, Tennessee; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Ms. Yoakum was preceded in death by a son: Forrest R. Bughler, Jr.; an infant daughter: Christina Bughler; a sister: Helen Parker; a brother: Howard Parker.Services will be held Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Koehler Funeral Home Chapel in Boonville, Indiana.
